Wednesday 3 October 2018--Walked from Volendam to Edam this morning. Found a lovely little town with rows of charming houses lining its canals. Had lunch on the terrasse of the hotel in the center, and started looking up Airbnb's here. After, took the bus to Hoorn, a much larger town than any I've visited so far, and probably a better base for a future visit to the area. Found some nice restaurants and pubs.
Busing back to Volendam later in the evening, I had to change at Edam. The buses are every half hour at that time, and I found I had a wait of 18 minutes. That's not really long enough to pop over to Prinsenbar for a last pint...but 48 minutes is. Under Construction Next |
