Thursday 11 October 2018--Rode Viking Line into Stockholm. As expected, the approach to the city was spectacular. I'd budgeted two nights in Stockholm, just a layover, really, between Åland and Gotland, but got distracted by a hotel out of town (more about which tomorrow). I had to get from the ferry to the metro station Slussen, which I'd figured to be a walk of a few hundred yards. Turned out the terminal we landed at was a mile from Slussen, so I took a taxi, and got quite enough of a taste of city streets.
