Saturday 23 September 2023---Today we are taking the boat trip to Île Bonaventure, a repeat of the trip Marc and I took in 2019. The imminence of Hurricane Dorian then meant a shortened window, and we walked the trail directly across the island and back to see the gannet colony. I've been thinking of trying to walk the trail around the perimeter of the island today, but in the end we repeat the direct route, partly because we've gotten out a little later than we'd meant to. As well, part of the perimeter trail is closed for repairs, following damage from Hurricane Lee a few days ago. On top of all that, I'm just not up for that long a walk. We view the birds, and are back to the start early enough to have lunch at the informal Resto à Margaulx, just above the pier.

Back in town, we shop at the grocery store for tonight's dinner. It's Saturday, and we've decided not to fight for a table in any of the restaurants around town. We pick up a few cans of beer, as well.
