Wednesday 23 October 2024--I wasn't sure after yesterday's walk that I'd be up for today's hike eastward to Crail, but I feel surprisingly good this morning, so off we go. It's only about four and a half miles, and the trail is level and without interruption. All of the little fishing villages we've seen are attractive, but Crail is surely the prettiest. We have a pint at the Golf Hotel, up on the High Street, before catching the 95 back to Anstruther. I walked both ways when I did this in 2009...I'm happy to have the bus today.

We dine at the Dreel Tavern this evening. They've really upped their game since I was last in--this is the best meal we've had on the trip. We finish it with a cheese plate and complementary dram.
