Saturday 20 September 2025--Alma is a small place...it's hard to explain why I like it so much. It's the perfect base for exploring Fundy National Park, of course, but I've done none of that. I booked two nights here in 2022, thinking it was maybe a night too many. I did the same this year. Both times, the full day here turned out to be the best time to visit Hopewell Rocks, a half an hour or so up the road, as I shuffled itinerary parts. Had we been on the original schedule, we'd have had a comfortable mid-day visit to Hopewell between here and Moncton. Of the remaining possibilities, today's late-afternoon low tide is the best option. And so we have a lazy morning, and take a detour to see the light at Cape Enrage on the way. I've been to Hopewell many times, and might give it a miss if I were here on my own; but Ron has never been, and it's really a must see.

[You can see more of my photos of Hopewell Rocks at 21 May 2022.]

Dinner is at the Alma Lobster Shop, followed by a pint at Holy Whale.
