Wednesday 11 October 2017--Given that we spent last evening trying to keep up with Willie in the Bow Bar, and subsequently got off to a late start today, I probably shouldn't have insisted on traveling to Ardfern via the Gourock-Dunoon ferry across the Firth of Clyde. It would have been faster to drive up via Crianlarich and Inveraray. I have a hard time resisting this passage from central Scotland to Argyll, the southernmost extension of the Highlands.
