Saturday 7 September 2019--Today's the day we've set aside for the cruise to Île-Bonaventure, and it's less than ideal-- Percé will be brushed by the passing edge of Hurricane Dorian this afternoon, and we're told that the last boat back will be at 1:00. It's the day we have—tomorrow will be worse, and the boats will not run at all. There is enough time to walk the trail to the back side of the island to see the gannet colony, and it's well worthwhile. I've been to so many nesting sites in Scotland too late in the season to see any birds, and am thinking I need to change that.
