Thursday 17 October 2019--Before leaving Fortrose, we join some of the locals strolling on the beach at Chanonry Point. Then we are off to Plockton, on the west coast. I intend to take the northern route to the west, as we will be taking the southern route back out, but some way along I realize that the signs we are passing are telling us about a road closure at Attadale, cutting off access to Lochalsh. (There is really far too much information on the signs to read as you drive by.) It is not until we are well into a wide detour toward the southern route, via Drumnadrochit, that I realize the closure is from 11:00pm to 8:00am. (Far, far too much.) Oh well, it's been a long time since I've gone down Glen Shiel, and it's really very scenic.
