Sunday 20 October 2013--My heels were burning at the end of the day
yesterday, so it seems prudent to give them a rest, although they seem okay this
morning. Besides, it's raining again. Or still. Pass most of the day lounging
around the B&B, catching up with online stuff, and particularly reading up on
the Red Sox' exploits. Victorino's grand slam last night propelled them into the
World Series. It's been a remarkable season. Missing postseason baseball is my
one great regret about traveling in October.
The sky seems to be brightening midafternoon, so I head out for a walk around town. It promptly starts raining again. The Black Swan is handy. The rain stops after a pint, and there is a nice soft light as I stroll around the harbor. A nice quiet day...will walk again tomorrow. Next |
