Friday 5 October 2018--Sleep has become an issue. I've been pooping out at around 8:00 every night, in bed by 9:00 or so. Then I wake up at 2:30 or 3:00 and toss and turn for a few hours. Then I drift off and sleep heavily until late morning. I was a little upset when I woke up at 11:30 today, but looked out at a dreary, drizzly day and decided to take the day off. Found a grocery and got some supplies. I also checked out the Rotermann Quarter, a redeveloped factory block right next to where I am staying. I knew there was an outlet of Brewdog, Scotland's self-styled "punk brewers", but I promised myself I wouldn't go there, as I really dislike their we're-so-hip marketing. Also don't like that a Scottish brewer is trying to make American-style "craft" beer trendy, to the detriment, I think, of traditional British styles. But I think I'm going to break my promise tonight...don't really want to go very far afield.

Well, I broke the pattern... went out at 8:00 instead of in. Went into Brewdog and looked at their beer menu. Aside from a maple stout, all of the beers had cutesy names that gave no clue to their character. I had no trouble turning around and walking out. Made it into Old Town after all.
