Saturday 20 October 2018--Win, Rob, and I left Edinburgh for a week on the Isle of Islay. As is my preference, we took the ferry from Gourock to Dunoon, and the one from Portavadie to Tarbert. Arrived in the latter town, shown here, with plenty of time to have lunch and shop for basic groceries. Landed on Islay after dark, checking in at our flat in Port Charlotte at about 8:30. I've long wanted to spend a relaxing week on Islay, and booked this self-catering unit with the idea that I'd be happy to do it on my own. Having Win and Rob along to share expense and experience is gravy.
