Tueday 16 October 2018--Let the car sit today. Went to the museum, and then explored the town. Should have done this the first day here. The museum traces the history of Gotland from the neolithic to the 20th century. There is much of interest, but the most spectacular exhibit is this hall full of picture stones. The Gotland stones are unlike any anywhere else, although there are of course some similarities to runestones elsewhere in Scandinavia, and perhaps to Pictish carved stones in Scotland.
Can't complain about the weather...just before sunset this evening, I saw a couple of wispy cirrus clouds, the first clouds I've seen during my stay here.
