Friday 3 May 2024--The trip to Tralee is less than an hour, so I leave my guesthouse as late as possible this morning, and then hang out in a café for a while, before catching an early-afternoon bus. I still arrive at my hotel too early to check in. I drop my bag and go for a look around. It's not a big town. I end up killing more time in another café. Finally check in and take a nap.

Kirby's Brogue looked like the most interesting pub in town, so it's there that I have dinner. It's more a restaurant than a pub, though, so I go in search of a suitable local. An Chearnóg in the town square is just the thing.
