Friday 10 May 2024--Texel is criss-crossed by miles and miles of bicycle paths. I'm sorry I don't really like bicycling...it's obviously the best way to enjoy the island. I see far more bicycles out and about than cars.

My village visit today is Oudeschild, on the east side. It's a small place, but there's a museum, and several restaurants around the harbor, which is base for boat trips. Lots to file away for a possible future visit. I pick out a restaurant for a late lunch, thinking I might then skip dinner, but it's too busy, and they're about to take a break between lunch and dinner, anyway. Back to Den Burg.
